Welcome to Dalesart216

I started sketching and drawing when I was 12 years old. When I was married my artistic talent was placed in the ‘bottom draw’ and I turned my attention to working and having children.

In 2007 I started to wonder if I could still draw and so my pathway to a wonderful and colourful world opened up once again.

My favourite is graphite portraits and drawings, followed closely by coloured pencil work and then acrylic painting.

I have managed to sell some of my work which was a terrific and unexpected surprise.

This blog is a new experience for me so I would ask that you have patience and understanding as I work my way around and posting some of my work. You can visit me on Facebook under my name, Dale Lysle.

Thank you

Yours in Art

    • Thanks Sandra. The Bed of Roses took ages to do but I like the finished product. I have quite a collection now and when we fully retire I will take them to the markets. Just need enough to get more supplies.
We arrived home last Monday from a 6 week trip around Asia and China with a 12 day cruise on the Dawn Princess. Lots of pics to give me inspiration! Talk to you soon.
      Dale xx
